Prostate is a reproductive organ of a male human body. This gland is responsible for many significant purposes of a human body. The major activities performed by prostate gland in a male human body are offered below:

The prostate generates a substance known as the PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen. A small amount of this substance consistently leaks in to the blood stream. High levels of PSA can be associated with prostate cancer. Doctors can easily test the level of PSA in your blood.
