Prostate Pain

Prostate is a human male reproductive gland. It basically works towards the secretion of vital body fluid know as semen.

Prostate is a very sensitive area of the human body and it tends to get afflicted by several diseases and discomfort, as the body ages. Generally, men suffer from several types of prostate disorders as soon as they reach their middle age or cross the age of fifty.

Prostate pain is one of the disorders of prostate that men usually suffer from, during their middle age. There are several causes of prostate pain in the human body. Some of the medical conditions that results in to prostate pain are as mentioned below:

a) Urethritis: It is an inflammatory condition that occurs in the tube through which the urine passes the bladder and exits during urination. This tube is known as Uretherits. This condition is a common cause of prostate pain during urination.
b) Chronic bacterial prostatitis: This is also one of the major causes of prostate pain. The condition is a bacterial infection and very similar to that of acute bacterial prostatitis.
c) Cystitis: This is a condition wherein the bladder is affected by an infection, leading in to the inflammation of the bladder. Cystitis also accounts to prostate pain in men.
d) Interstitial cystitis: Interstitial cystitis is a condition wherein bladder develops an inflammatory lesion. This basically results in acute prostate pain in men.
e) Proctitis: Proctitis is the inflammation that tends to occur on the lining of the rectum. This condition usually occurs due to an infection. Prostate pain may also develop in men due to proctitis.
f) Diverticulitis: This is a very common condition of bowel, particularly the large intestine. Under this stage, pouch-like bulges or pockets appear in the wall of the intestine. This condition usually results in prostate pain in men.
g) Anal fissure: A very common cause for prostate pain in men, this condition tears the anus or anal canal.
h) Anal fistula: This is a condition wherein a tubular structure develops between anus, in the spin. A fistula is usually secondary to abscess formation. This type of an abnormality results in prostate pain.
i) Prostate cancer: An abnormal growth in the prostate, this condition makes the patient suffer from acute prostate pain.
